On 30th October 2015 a survey was conducted among 100 students of Tula State Pedagogical University on the Internet. The purpose of the survey was to discover the preferences of Russian students in studying abroad.
The survey was conducted by means of an online survey in a social network ‘Vkontakte’. It consisted of 5 questions about popular countries and purposes of studying abroad.
More than 70% of the students said they would like to study abroad while less than 30% did not like this idea.
The next issue was devoted to choosing a country where they would like to go for studying. It revealed that the majority of the respondents (more than 45%) would like to study in England meanwhile the second place was divided between Germany and the USA (about 20% for each one), and the third place was occupied by Canada (5%).

Two thirds of the students think education abroad is different from the Russian one; about 5% answered it is the same and more than 30% did not know.
About 70% of the respondents agreed that an experience of studying abroad could change the world outlook completely, more than 10% disagreed and more than 20% did not know.
