In Moscow took place the premiere of the musical "Singing in the rain".

On October 4th In the Moscow theatre "Russia" took place the premiere of the musical "Singing in the rain" based on the eponymous Hollywood film of 1952.The musical is set in Hollywood during the transition from silent film to sound. Two protagonists of the story are popular actors who are very good at silent films - Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont. Lina plays brilliantly in silent films, but faces challenges acting in the sound film: she has a shrill voice. To save his first sound picture. Don invites a talented young actress Kathy Selden who sings and dupes instead of Lana. The young girl has a gift for music, and her voice charmed the cast, audience and Don himself who falls for her deeply. And with that begins a typical Hollywood love story under the rain, literary. One of the main effects of the musical is a shower pouring down on the stage and spectators on the first three rows. No worries, there are rain coats provided. Daily on the stage of the theatre "Russia" there flows more than 12 tons of water.

The main roles in the musical were performed by Stas Chunikhin (Don Lockwood), Julia Willow (Kathy Selden) and Anastasia Stotskaya (Lina Lamont).
"The performance was brilliant! It is sweet, funny and so Hollywood-like. The cast was so professional we could not even say for sure who is a professional dancer or actor. The scene with the rain was pre-expected but nevertheless came without warning, and we became a little bit wet. I believe this makes a set more lively and helps to smooth this border between actors and spectators." - my friends  shared the impressions.
