Hot Air Ballooning Cup.
Last Friday about
one hundred Balloons rose up in the sky during the third Open Cup of Tula
Region of Hot Air Ballooning. The Cup is
dedicated to the memory of the pilot
Boris Safonov, a hero of World War II,
twice Hero of the Soviet Union.
The competitions
proceeded all weekend. Sportsmen from Tula, Moscow, Moscow region and Voronezh fought
for the main prize. The essence of the competition is to throw a colored tape with a load from a board of a hot air
balloon as accurately as possible. It should fall to a certain point, on the ground of
its cross mark. The difficulty lies in the fact that
the hot air balloon is controlled
by means of air flows, and to change the direction, you need
to change the
height too.
Cup completes the sports
season, during which the pilots of Tula had
time to take part in many
competitions, as in the all-Russian and in international as well.
The competition involved six teams from Tula,
Moscow and Voronezh. The most
numerous appeared from Tula
– six crews of them rose in the sky
during this event.

people who watched it about their impression and there are their answers:
“It is an
amazing site, while there are about 20 balloons above your head. A pity only
the weather is overcast.”
“This sight is Very
nice and breathtaking. I guess this is true air sport – slowly, physically
clear and beautiful.”
Well, interesting facts about this event, but, in my opinion, you should give more information and may be some photos to show to readers your expearence. We have strong facts that show us what has happend, but I can`t feel the atmosphere of it. But on other side, you wrote it clearly to understand it is a good way for news! Moreover you added some quotes, With a help of them I knew feelings of witnesses so I can say it was great! Thanks a lot for your job!
